Miracles happen when we allow God to do His great work; that's the tack that Logan's mom, Sherry, took when her dear-hearted 4-year old son was diagnosed with an AT/RT brain tumor in August of 2010. From expressions of hope and faith to pained pleas to God above, follow along as she shares her heart, waddles through her 4th pregnancy and the subsequent birth of baby Brady on 12/14/10, prays for her son's recovery and works to amass the biggest team of prayer warriors ever.
About Us
Our family of 6 (dad Adam, mom Sherry, big sister Abby and little brothers Isaac and Brady -- who was born on December 14, 2010) joined the ranks of pediatric cancer fighters when our 4-year old son Logan was diagnosed with a dangerous and highly malignant form of brain cancer in mid-August 2010. Logan's cancer journey began abruptly on Sunday, August 15, when his right eye suddenly turned inward during dinner. Twenty-four hours later, we were checking into Children's Hospital Oakland and finding out that life sometimes takes you places you'd never, ever imagine yourself going.

Scheduling Update
It's late and I'm heading to bed shortly, but I wanted to pass something on before I did so: Logan's surgery has been moved up to Tuesday morning (the 22nd). We'll go in early, he'll have the stealth MRI that involves placement of the fiducials (aka to us as 'the donuts'), and then he'll go from there to the OR. So please keep that date in prayer; prayers for the surgery team, the hospital staff, our family, and especially Logan. Thank you all, and happy weekending.

testing
ReplyDeleteOkay... that was me testing to finally see if I could figure out how to post my comments. I think I finally got it.
ReplyDeleteMy Bible Study group is praying for Logan and you all. This weeks study has some things in it I'd like to pass on to you:
"Scripture offers many proofs that one person's prayers can affect masses of people. ... Oh, h ow Satan hopes we'll think our prayers don't matter and that God's activity is limited to what we can see with human eyes."
"How convinced are you that your prayers matter? If you feel that your prayers matter little, if any, can you accept the biblical truth that God can be trusted when our human rewasoning often cannot? 'Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding' (Prov. 3:5)! He knows you by name, and He recognizes your voice. Whatever you do, Dear One, don't stop praying. Heaven is affected even when you don't see answers on Earth."
So, don't stop praying Sharing, but on days you are too exhausted to pray, know that you have your prayer warriors who are praying for Logan and your family and the prayer group continues to grow!
Enjoy your time together as a family this weekend.
Love,
Nancy
