Miracles happen when we allow God to do His great work; that's the tack that Logan's mom, Sherry, took when her dear-hearted 4-year old son was diagnosed with an AT/RT brain tumor in August of 2010. From expressions of hope and faith to pained pleas to God above, follow along as she shares her heart, waddles through her 4th pregnancy and the subsequent birth of baby Brady on 12/14/10, prays for her son's recovery and works to amass the biggest team of prayer warriors ever.
About Us
Our family of 6 (dad Adam, mom Sherry, big sister Abby and little brothers Isaac and Brady -- who was born on December 14, 2010) joined the ranks of pediatric cancer fighters when our 4-year old son Logan was diagnosed with a dangerous and highly malignant form of brain cancer in mid-August 2010. Logan's cancer journey began abruptly on Sunday, August 15, when his right eye suddenly turned inward during dinner. Twenty-four hours later, we were checking into Children's Hospital Oakland and finding out that life sometimes takes you places you'd never, ever imagine yourself going.

A Step Back
Because our reality of late is that a step forward is almost always followed by a step back, Logan's weight as well as his bilirubin were both back up again this morning, they were unable to wean him from 4 liters of oxygen down to 2, and he'll be staying in the PICU after all. *SIGH* Please pray for healing. Every fiber of my being is sick and tired of this wretched battle.

Actively praying for little Logan.
ReplyDeleteWould love to say something that would help heal your heart. Unfortunately I do not have the words. Will just remind you that I pray for you, your family and Logan always. I check for your updates twice a day. Also, I validate your feelings toward God...can imagine I would feel the same way.

ReplyDeletePraying my heart out for Logan and your family. I understand the feelings and exhaustion you have...praying for complete healing for Logan and that he is healthy enough to first get out of PICU and then go home so you can be together as a family.
Holding out for tomorrow and a new update! I believe "with every fiber of my being" that this little guy is going to pull thru this. It's you who I'm praying for at the moment! "Whole and Healed" - and "peace for Sherry" those are my fervent prayers! much love, michele starkey
