About Us

Our family of 6 (dad Adam, mom Sherry, big sister Abby and little brothers Isaac and Brady -- who was born on December 14, 2010) joined the ranks of pediatric cancer fighters when our 4-year old son Logan was diagnosed with a dangerous and highly malignant form of brain cancer in mid-August 2010. Logan's cancer journey began abruptly on Sunday, August 15, when his right eye suddenly turned inward during dinner. Twenty-four hours later, we were checking into Children's Hospital Oakland and finding out that life sometimes takes you places you'd never, ever imagine yourself going.

Saturday Night

First off, thank you all for your responses to my request earlier today. I was so touched by every single note.

I figured that I should return before heading off to bed to give an update. Logan was transferred to the PICU this afternoon, as I mentioned he would be. Due mostly to mucusitis, he had a lot of trouble breathing, but he remained stable through the afternoon and into the evening, thanks to some Albterol treatments and an oxygen mask. He's very, very tired, but handling it with more grace than you would ever expect to see from a 4-year old. Or anyone at all, really. He amazes us every single day with his spirit.

There are things they can do, should he have increasing troubles with breathing, but for now he's under observation. Adam's mom is there with him tonight, so I should have a chance to rest a little.

Thank you for holding Logan --and the rest of us-- up in prayer.

    I am thrilled to have been able to give you even a second of happiness by my asking others for prayer on FB. Praying for Logan and for strength and wisdom of those working in the PICU. I hope you take a moment and take to heart the wishes of happy mothers day tomorrow! You are an incredible Mom!
    Will be praying for Logan tomorrow morning at church also.

    Definitely lifting Logan up for extra, extra prayer right now, and will continue to do so. You will especially be in my prayers on "mothers day" Sherrie as I can only imagine your pain & suffering over Logan. You are an awesome mom and deserve every bit of extra love and care this Sunday.     Hi. When I pray on behalf of Logan and your family, I call God by his personal name, Jehovah, and I pray for His kingdom to come so that all sickness is wiped off the earth. The miracles of healing that His son, Jesus, performed on the earth showed what he would do for everyone in the future. "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes..." (Rev. 21:4)
